Every batting cage, we sell, is encased in a
rope structure with the ropes being attached with posi-lock
stitching. There are 3 top support ropes. The top and bottom
ropes extend 8' past the end of the cage for easy attachment to a frame.
All of our batting cage nets are chemically treated with Tinuvin 788
and Irganox B-215, and these chemicals give each fiber of the net superior UV protection, and
retards the normal deterioration of strength due to sun exposure.

PERFORMA Batting Cage Nets |
|
The PERFORMA is the best batting cage net we make. We
build our PERFORMA batting cage nets in both premium #36
and #42
twine size. Each batting cage is treated with Tinuvin 788
and Irganox
B-215, which is added to each fiber before the extrusion process for
superior resistance to UV breakdown, and this allows our nets to
retain their strength even in the most extreme sun
conditions.
The PERFORMA is hung on the
square, will not shrink, will not absorb water, and has
superior resistance to the sun.

Our
The HDPE batting cage is an
economical choice for outdoor applications. The HDPE has chemicals
molded right into the fibers, providing the greatest UV protection
and durability.
The HDPE batting cage netting has diamond mesh
and is knotless, which means there are no high spots to accelerate wear and
the netting absorbs the impact of balls over several meshes.
The HDPE knotless net is a heavy poly with a 2.5mm (#36) twine
size, and are far superior to the twisted poly or nylon with smaller
twine sizes. We
believe this is the best batting cage for the dollar value available
in the market today.

This is an excellent batting cage. Its twine size
is #36, the netting is black, it has been chemically treated for UV
protection, and is resin coated for maximum life and strength.
The great thing about our nylon batting cage is that it is more
reasonable than any other nylon batting cage on the market
today.

One of the most essential pieces of baseball
equipment is a baseball batting cage. Each Skillbuilder
baseball batting cage, like all of our baseball equipment, is
manufactured to our rigorous high standards. They are all put
through the most intensive Ultra Violet (UV) treatment process
available and heat set to get the maximum protection
through each of our nets' fibers. Our nets will not bleed or
rub off onto other materials. All of our nets have rope
borders around the top, bottom and sides, and are tied into
place to maximize the net's life. The top and bottom
ropes extend up to 8' beyond each nets' borders to make it
easy to secure it to one of our sturdy frames. 55'
and 70' batting cage nets are available to fit our
12'Hx12'W and 12'Hx14'W frames.

One of our most
frequently asked questions regarding a batting cage is
"How do nylon and poly nets compare?"
|
Tests
have shown that although nylon has a higher tensile strength,
the abrasion factor of poly and nylon are about the same. Because
a batting cage does not take direct hits, the abrasion resistance
is much more important than tensile strength. Our poly nets
work as well outdoors as indoors because they do not absorb
water, as nylon does, and each strand being UV protected from the sun's harmful rays. In short, a poly
batting cage is just as durable as nylon, even more
versatile and much more affordable.
Numerous schools and colleges have purchased from us because
of our high quality and low prices.
All our nets can be used with pitching machines, however, we
do suggest using a backstop to save wear and tear on the net.
For pitching machines used at 60 mph or less, any net can be
used, but for pitching machines used at 80 mph and above, we
recommend using the #45 twisted poly or #36 nylon.
